NFL Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups – Week 8
Ryan Tannehill – MIA (22% owned) : He’s got the Jets week 9. Been some nice 300 yd / multiple TD games against the JETS defense.
Colin Kaepernick – SF (7% owned): I know I know but he’s going against the Saints. They have a swiss cheese secondary.
Starting QB for Browns: Kessler or McCown? Who knows but with Corey Coleman coming back, Pryor proving he can play, Barnidge at TE, and a good run game, there’s some fantasy appeal here.
Charcandrick West – KC (10% owned): Jamaal Charles could be done. Spencer Ware has a concussion. This leaves Charcandrick West as the main guy. He played well when was “the man” before. If Ware is out week 9, the matchup against the Jaguars is great.
Tim Hightower – NO (7% owned): Sorry Mark Ingram fans but you’re in a full RBBC and Hightower could end up taking the job for himself. That said, he could lose the job next week. At the least, he is worth a roster spot.
Rob Kelley – WAS (34% owned): There’s a good chance he’s owned in your league. If not, grab him. Matt Jones could/may/might take the starting job back when he’s healthy but Kelley did play well in London against the Bengals. If nothing else, stash him until Matt Jones gets hurt again.
Corey Coleman – CLE (42% owned): Have faith Browns fans. Pryor and Coleman with Barnidge as your TE? Not bad. You could be in line for your first win… maybe in a few weeks. Coleman played well in the first time games and if there’s no rust to shake off, this bodes well for not only Coleman but whoever (McCown or Kessler) is at QB.
JJ Nelson – ARI (3% owned): Dude is fast. Like.. really fast. The cardinals have named him a starter and that means he could be a solid WR3 (WR2 potential) on some weeks. He’s on a bye in week 9 but after that, he has favorable matchups.
Chris Hogan – NE (22% owned): Whatcha gonna do when Chris Hog… nevermind. He’s going to be a risk-reward player when you start him but he has Tom Brady throwing him the ball and those nice deep TD passes are great.
CJ Fiedorowicz – HOU (14% owned): Brock Osweiler does one thing well, dump off passes to his TE. I’m sure there’s more but in this case, CJ Fiedorowicz is a nice pick up.
Ladarius Green – PIT (8% owned): Same as last week, IF he comes back, he’s got value.
Eric Ebron – DET (38% owned): Week 8 saw him get 7 catches for 79 yards. He had 10 targets. He seems to be back from his knee injury. He isn’t a TE1 starter but you could do worse.
