NFL Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups – Week 3
Joe Flacco – BAL (29%): Week 4 has Flacco against that weak Raiders secondary. He’s a good option if you’ve got Aaron Rodgers off.
Carson Wentz – PHI (21%): Remember when I said before that you should pick up Carson Wentz? If you didn’t, do it now. Some may drop him since he’s off week 4 (yeah some people do that). Some may not want to pick him off since he’s off week 4 (yup that too). Take advantage if he’s available.
Alex Smith – KC (22%): See what Carson Wentz did to that Steelers secondary in week 3? Alex Smith could do the same in week 4. Again, if you have Rodgers off, Smith is not a bad option.
Christine Michael (73%)– SEA: Umm… duh? Two TDs and 106 yards against SF. I think this could continue going forward leaving Thomas Rawls as a regret for those who picked him in late first or early second round.
Jordan Howard (27%) – CHI: If you listened to the podcast, you’d probably heard Nick or I warn Jeremy Langford owners. That advice has proven smart since Langford is out and Jordan Howard seems to be the one set to get the bulk of the carries. He can run and tach. He can get those 20 carries a game. The Bears are not good. Jordan Howard can be for fantasy owners. If you’re in a league with a FAB, you may be spending a lot on this one.
Dwayne Washington (23%) – DET: Abdullah is on IR. Theo Riddick didn’t get it done. Dwayne Washington didn’t light the world on fire but he had some flash earlier in the year. Why not? He is going against the Bears which is always a favorable matchup.
Dion Lewis (19%) – NE: BC doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Dion Lewis is hurt. Yes. Yes he is. He’s also eligible to come off the PUP list in week 7 and if you have a spot, it isn’t a bad idea to grab and stash him now. James White hasn’t doing anything to take the job from Lewis.
Cole Beasley (21%)– DAL: Replay from week 1. Prescott likes to throw to him. He has 20 catches in 3 games. Beasley is a really good sneaky PPR play.
Terrelle Pryor (24%)– CLE: Kid from Pittsburgh so pick him up. But seriously, who else on the Browns do you want? Crowell maybe? Josh Gordon when he comes back, possibly. This kid can run, throw, catch, and he could very well be on the defense for the Browns too. What does Cleveland have to lose?
Jamison Crowder (17%) – WAS: Cousins could be on the way back to greatness? In PPR leagues, he could make for a fun FLEX play.
Quincy Enunwa (34%) – NYJ: If you didn’t pick him up before and you still have time, do it. He had a low game against KC but he also had a season high in targets. Ryan Fitzpatrick can’t possibly have that bad of a game again this season. Well.. I don’t think.
Zach Miller (41%)- CHI: Does a player count as a good waiver pickup if he’s owned by almost 50%. Brian Hoyer could see a lot of playing time. That bodes well for Miller. Even with Cutler in there, I like Zach Miller.
Hunter Henry (6%) – SD: It isn’t a fantasy football season if you don’t hype the TE behind Antonio Gates. Gates went 5-76 and a fumble in week 3. With Woodhead and Keenan Allen out, there are some targets to be had in that offense.
