NBA DFS Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 1/30/18

Welcome to another edition of ResearchFantasy’s NBA Breakdown. These picks are what I consider to be the best play of the day, relative to their price. One of the most important things we must consider in daily fantasy is how many points a player gets per dollar. It helps us identify value plays to pair with studs that we know will produce in order to maximize our potential points in lineups. I also try to identify plays that can be used in either cash games or tournaments. Typically, when I build my cash games, I am looking for players that have the best floor combined with good upside. If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please let us know!

Pricing is FanDuel/DraftKings

GUARDS:

Russell Westbrook (12500/11700) – Will the strategy tonight be to play Westbrook and Davis and hope for value to fall in? It sure seems like it is my first notion. Westbrook is on one of those heights he goes to a few times every year where he starts ripping off monster games. The matchup is solid here and I think he will cross 70 fantasy points.

DeJounte Murray (6300/5900) – Murray has been playing exceedingly well since joining the starting lineup. Denver is on a back to back and susceptible to point guards. I fully expect Murray to cross 30 fantasy points again here and I want to have him in my lineup tonight.

Tomas Satoransky (4500/4500) – This play depends on what John Wall does. If he sits, then I think you can look at both Satoransky and Frazier. The latter is cheaper and had a bigger game last time out. Truthfully, he probably has the higher upside. I think Satoransky is more likely to see his ceiling than Frazier, though.

FORWARDS/CENTERS:

Anthony Davis (12500/11400) – Well, here we are. Davis is back to the long big man on the team, which means we should see more usage and higher upside. The Kings are not going to be able to do anything to contend with Davis, and I think he will cross 70 fantasy points tonight.

Tim Hardaway Jr. (6400/6500) – New York can be annoying at times, but I think you want to get some exposure to them tonight. Hardaway still feels a little bit under priced for the matchup, and that is why I will be using him all over the place tonight.

Tristan Thompson (4000/4600) – Detroit does not go small, and thus, I think we will see a lot of Thompson tonight. If Blake manages to start, then I really think Tristan could log some heavy minutes (for him) here. I do not think he has monster upside, but could flirt with 30 fantasy points.
