NBA DFS Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 1/10/18

Welcome to another edition of ResearchFantasy’s NBA Breakdown. These picks are what I consider to be the best play of the day, relative to their price. One of the most important things we must consider in daily fantasy is how many points a player gets per dollar. It helps us identify value plays to pair with studs that we know will produce in order to maximize our potential points in lineups. I also try to identify plays that can be used in either cash games or tournaments. Typically, when I build my cash games, I am looking for players that have the best floor combined with good upside. If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please let us know!

Pricing is FanDuel/DraftKings

Jimmy Butler (9700/8700) – Butler has been the man as of late, and a matchup against the Thunder will not slow him down. Sure, Paul George could play up against him but I really am just not concerned about it at all. There are very few situations where I think a defender will legitimately shut down an opponent, and this is not it. Butler should flirt with 45-50 fantasy points again.

Kris Dunn (7900/7500) – The award for the most annoying fantasy player goes to Dunn. This dude routinely looks like garbage in the first quarter/half, and then turns on the jets. If he can put together a full game, hes a 50+ point fantasy contributor every night. The Knicks are nothing to fear and Dunn should be able to get into the forties again tonight.

Gerald Green (4500/5300) – This is a lock for me on FanDuel. I am still willing to go with him in DraftKings as well. Sure, he very well might not get into the 30 point club, but he should be able to hit value. That is enough for me. It is just knowing that there is big game upside there to be willing to play him. The rest is a cherry on top.

Andre Drummond (9300/8700) – Drummond against the Nets should be a locked in slam dunk. This is one of those 20/20 games that should happen. I would expect for him to be very popular, and his price is worth paying in all formats. I am betting on a 60 fantasy point night.

Bismack Biyombo (5600/5800) – I have been down on Biyombo over the last few nights, but I am likely to buy in on him tonight. The Magic will take on the Bucks, who have no answer for any centers. This is another 35+ fantasy point waiting to happen and at a great price. He makes a great pivot off of the expect Damontas Sabonis chalk.

Bam Adebeyo (3700/3800) – This is a pretty gutsy call, but I am assuming James Johnson will be suspended tonight. He was ejected for fighting last night. The smart money will be for ownership on Whiteside and Olynyk. I think Bam should be able to get some added run here and it is a fair matchup.
