Welcome to our MLB Daily Fantasy Breakdown! Today, we have a nice slate of Wednesday night baseball.

Yesterday night was a tough night for me. While I did have big ownership of a lot of Pittsburgh bats, the rest of my bats and pitching really let me down. I did not have nearly enough David Price. Tonight is a new night though. If you like what you see, don’t hesitate to follow us on Twitter @researchandwin and let us know we helped you or yell at us for leading you down the wrong path.

With that out of the way, let’s move on to the picks:

Jake Arrieta –  This is a perfect opportunity for Arrieta coming off his no hitter last week. The Brewers are a bad offense, and one of their better hitters in Scooter Gennett is out with an oblique strain. I expect Arrieta to come out dealing tonight and should be in for a good outing.

Justin Verlander- Verlander is still a little bit risky, but I like him tonight against Oakland. The Athletics can put up runs, but if Verlander is on his game, he should be able to rack up quite a few strikeouts. The concern here is the win, as Sonny Gray is on the mound and especially on FanDuel, those 12 points are important.

Steven Wright – Believe it or not, Wright is off to a tremendous start to the year. He isn’t likely to see high innings or strikeout numbers, but stands a good shot at a win tonight against the Braves. He is fairly priced, and allows you to stack your lineups elsewhere.

Francisco Cervelli – Cervelli had a nice game last night, and I’m going back to the well tonight. He has yet to show his power on this road trip, but tonight is the night I think. I’m expecting him to take one out of the park tonight.

Dioneer Navarro – Navarro has been having a nice series against his former team, and I think things could stay the same way tonight against Marco Estrada. He is very cheap, which lets you load your lineup.

Paul Goldschmidt – Goldy is going to cost you, but you have to love the matchup against Wainwright, who has been struggling so much this year. Goldy is prone to putting up big games, and he can do so even by being walked three times. He is my higher priced play at the position.

Albert Pujols – Chris Young is on the mound, which means that a lot of runs will be scored. Also, homeruns are likely to take place. If they do, Pujols is certainly one that could be hitting them. I love the matchup tonight and he is priced perfectly tonight.

Neil Walker – Walker is priced more than I would like to spend tonight, but I really want to look at the lefty bats against Moscot. It is likely to be a sound strategy tonight, and Walker is a great place to start.

Josh Harrison – I don’t think he’s likely to come through with a big game, but I don’t think he will leave you hanging either. He’s got some pop, and the game is in Coors, so it could end up being a good night for Harrison. I like the Bucco’s to score plenty again tonight, so he should be on your radar.

Nolan Arenado – Arenado came through for his owners last night. It was a true show of his power, because he went across the plate and down to get it and lift it into the stands. Tonight, he gets Jon Niese, who is a far cry from Cole. I expect another nice game from Nolan.

Josh Donaldson– I do hate just throwing out the top two options at the position, but both are in great situations. Donaldson gets Jose Quintana, who has done well for himself to start the year, but won’t make it out alive tonight. I expect the Blue Jay bats to be ready to go after the slow day against Chris Sale last night.

Cristhian Adames –  At this point, it is just speculation, but I could see Adames playing again tonight. After his awesome start, Trevor Story has really slowed down, and is showing some poor decision making at the plate. Adames had a nice night, but more importantly than all that, is just very cheap, in a positive matchup.

Xander Bogaerts – I like the Boston bats a lot tonight again, and Bogaerts is near the top of my list. He had a very nice game last night, and I expect that to continue. The BoSox should come through with a nice amount of runs tonight, and Zander can certainly be a big part of it.

Starling Marte – Coors Field.

Andrew McCutcheon – Coors Field. Don’t expect three home runs though.

Gregory Polanco – Coors Field. Tonight, he gets the right-hander, and I am expecting a big game out of him.

Bryce Harper – Harper vs. Hellickson. Hmmm, I wonder who is more likely to win that matchup. He is probably my favorite overall play on the night, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him have his biggest game of the season thus far.

Michael Conforto– Conforto is very hot right now, and gets a very good matchup against Jon Moscot. The Mets bats will be highly owned tonight, and I think you could be playing from behind if you try to fade them in this matchup.
