CFL DFS Picks for DraftKings – 2017 Week 9

Welcome to another edition of ResearchFantasy’s CFL Breakdown. These picks are what I consider to be the best play of the day, relative to their price. One of the most important things we must consider in daily fantasy is how many points a player gets per dollar. It helps us identify value plays to pair with studs that we know will produce in order to maximize our potential points in lineups. I also try to identify plays that can be used in either cash games or tournaments. Typically, when I build my cash games, I am looking for players that have the best floor combined with good upside. If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please let us know!

Last week was about as chalk as it gets but it was AMAZING to see LaDarius Perkins at such low ownership. His price came up some, but he is still very much underpriced. This week could continue to be the same way, but I think we can find some differentiation plays which I will talk about in our premium package.

Mike Reilly – Edmonton Eskimos – $11,300

I cannot fathom a reason to not play Reilly this week. His upside is absolutely through the roof, and there are few situations where he just does not end the week as the highest scoring quarterback. His floor is 26 points, and I think he will be in the 30 range for yet another week. I do not need to say much more.

Bo Levi Mitchell – Calgary Stampeders – $10,300

We still have not seen Mitchell put it together yet this year, but I think there is still hope. The rule had been that teams coming off of byes struggle this year, but I do not think that will be the case. The Lions have somewhat quietly given up some big passing performances, and I think Mitchell can do that. He makes a nice pivot to Reilly.

Andrew Harris – Winnipeg Blue Bombers – $7,300

There are some reasons to be concerned about Harris, the biggest reason is that Flanders is starting to get involved in the offense. Harris is still the top dog here. He is going to be leaned upon very heavily this week while the Bombers try to end the Eskimos unbeaten streak. He is my favorite running back play.

Roy Finch – Calgary Stampeders – $5,400

If you are looking for an interesting tournament play, I would not hesitate to use Finch. He is killing it in the return game, and he is finding his way on the field to be more involved in the passing, and running game, as well. His floor is pretty low, but his upside makes him one of the top point per dollar tournament options this week.

Greg Ellingson – Ottawa REDBLACKS – $9,700

Yes, we want to continue to target Hamilton. This defense is bad. Even if it gets better, it is still one of the worst defenses in the league. His price may be super high this week, but so is the upside. I could see him cracking the 100 yard marker and grabbing a score. Huge upside with a safe floor for cash games.

Emmanuel Arceneaux – BC Lions – $7,300

How can you not like Arceneaux at this price? Bryan Burnham has not practiced yet, and with this game going on Friday, it is hard to believe he will be ready to suit up. Arceneaux should be one of the more consistent options in this game, despite the poor QB play endured last week.

Bryant Mitchell – Edmonton Eskimos – $5,700

I have no idea what Mitchell is going to have to do to get some respect, but this price is just silly. He will remain a top target, if not the top target, while Bowman is on the sidelines, and it is criminal that we are seeing his price here. I do not care what name is on the back of the Winnipeg jerseys, they will have a hard time containing Mitchell.
